Borrowing the title, “oh the places you’ll go”, from Dr, Seuss’s last book, we hope to capture that sense of wonder and amazement at all the possibilities for adventure, relaxation, contemplation and awe while you are here, basing out of the Paria Sage Casitas.
This area is called The Center of the Grand Circle, Canyon Country and Color Country for good reason. Radiating out in all directions in an area of breathtaking geologic formations, and all within a day’s drive are all~
Seven national parks, Eight national monuments, Numerous state parks, Ancient historical sites, Prehistoric Indian ruins, Haunting ghost towns, and so much more.
Starting with the closest hike, down the Paria River to Lee’s Ferry and the start of the Grand Canyon, each location has multiple senses that engage.
Several mini adventures can be accomplished all on the same day at your stay with us –
- Visit the hoodoos, which are magically balanced rocks on tall spires
- Gazing through rock arches of various sizes and shapes
- Journey through twisting, carved slot canyons
- Horseshoe Bend – from 1000 feet view the amazing 180 degree bend in the Colorado River
Bryce, Zion, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Arches, Monument Valley and Mesa Verde are all close by Paria Sage Casitas. From relaxing and playing in the blue waters of Lake Powell, trout fishing in the Colorado, bird watching (including endangered Condors), horseback riding, dinosaur tracking, and star gazing this area is a never ending delight. Each week we will help bring a piece of the area alive for you in our blog. “Oh, the places you’ll go.”
